The Intermountain West has been the country's fastest-growing region in the past 20 years. The states included, which are Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, and Nevada, are expected to see an additional 12.7 million residents in the area by the year 2040. This means that 8 million jobs and $3 trillion dollars of housing and other development will be expected in the region as well.
