Wind Tower Factory to Bring Over 500 Jobs to Pueblo

Vestas Wind Systems plans on building a $240 million wind tower factory in Pueblo, Colorado. The factory will be the largest of its kind in the world, and will bring over 500 new jobs to the area.Vestas is the world's largest supplier of wind tower systems. The Pueblo plant, when fully operational in 2010, will be responsible for 50% of all the wind tower systems the company produces globally.
The addition of the Vestas plant to Pueblo may be the start of a trend: the city plans on turning the 3,500-acre site (which includes Vestas' plant) into an industrial park.
